Discovering new aesthetics and possibilities through the abstraction of the landscape
The aim of my current practice is based upon the examination of the landscape beginning to investigate the idea of meeting points and interactions within a space. Delving further into the idea of place and the creation of an environment. How can these points of interaction be deconstructed and re assembled to create a new environment that we have not encountered before?
Sometimes scenes are abstracted into shapes that are swallowed by texture and other times a medley of the seen and unseen form a dialogue on the page. It is a personal reaction to the world and how I view it.
